Dr. Yang Xiao currently is a full Professor of Department of Computer Science at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, AL, USA. His current research interests include communications/networks and computer/network security. He has published over 200 SCI-indexed journal papers and over 200 EI indexed refereed conference papers and book chapters related to these research areas. His research has been supported by the U.S. NSF, U.S. Army Research, GENI, Fleet Industrial Supply Center-San Diego, FIATECH, and The University of Alabama’s Research Grants Committee.
Dr. Yang Xiao was a Voting Member of IEEE 802.11 Working Group from 2001 to 2004, involving IEEE 802.11 (WIFI) standardization work. He is a Fellow of IET (FIET). He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief for International Journal of Security and Networks, and International Journal of Sensor Networks (SCI-index), and Journal of Communications. He had (s) been an Editorial Board or Associate Editor for 16 international journals, 6. He served (s) as a Guest Editor for over 20 times for different international journals. Dr. Xiao has delivered over 30 keynote speeches at international conferences around the world and gave more than 60 invited talks at different international institutes. |

Dr. Han-Chieh Chao is a joint appointed Chair Professor of the Department of Computer Science & Information Engineering, Electronic Engineering of National Ilan University, I-Lan, Taiwan (NIU) and Fujian University of Technology. He is serving as the President since 2016 for NDHU as well. He was the Director of the Computer Center for Ministry of Education Taiwan from September 2008 to July 2010. His research interests include High Speed Networks, Wireless Networks, IPv6 based Networks, Digital Creative Arts, e-Government and Digital Divide. He received his MS and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1989 and 1993 respectively. He has authored or co-authored 4 books and has published about 400 refereed professional research papers. He has completed more than 150 MSEE thesis students and 5 PhD students. Dr. Chao has been invited frequently to give talks at national and international conferences and research organizations. Dr. Chao is the Editor-in-Chief for IET Networks, Journal of Internet Technology. He is the founding Edtor-in-Chief for International Journal of Internet Protocol Technology, and International Journal of Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing. He is also the associate editor for IEEE Network Magazine and IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine. Dr. Chao has served as the guest editors for Mobile Networking and Applications (ACM MONET), IEEE JSAC, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Systems Journal, Computer Communications, IEE Proceedings Communications, the Computer Journal, Telecommunication Systems, Wireless Personal Communications, and Wireless Communications & Mobile Computing. Jian Wang received the Ph.D. degree in physical electronics from the Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2008. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the optical communications laboratory in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering of the Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California, USA, from 2009 to 2011. He is currently a professor at the Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China.
Jian Wang has received the following representative honors/awards: Yangtze River Excellent Young Scholars (Dec, 2016), Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education of China (1st class) (1st author) (Dec, 2015), National Program for Support of Top-notch Young Professionals (Aug, 2015), National Science Foundation for Excellent Young Scholars (Aug, 2012), New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education of China (Nov, 2011). Jian Wang has devoted his research efforts to innovations in photonic integrated devices and frontiers of high-speed optical communications and optical signal processing. He has more than 300 publications in total, including 3 book chapters, 2 special issues, 4 review articles, 6 invited papers, 55 tutorial/keynote/invited talks (invited talk at OFC2014, tutorial talk at OFC2016), 8 postdeadline papers, and more than 100 journal papers published on Science (1), Nature Photonics (1), Scientific Reports (14), Optics Express (32), Optics Letters (34), etc. The work published on Nature Photonics (2012: 6, 488-496) has been selected by Nature Photonics editors for press release, interview, and News & Views article, and reported by BBC News, NewScientist, PhysicsWorld, and Phys.Org, ScienceDaily and IEEE Spectrum. Jian Wang is now serving as the topical editor of Optics Letters and guest editor of Optics Express and Optics Communications. Dr. Huiyu Zhou obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Radio Technology from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology of China, and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Dundee of United Kingdom, respectively. He was then awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Vision from the Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Dr. Zhou is an assistant professor at School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Queen’s University of Belfast, United Kingdom. He has published over 130 peer-reviewed papers in the field. He was the recipient of "Computer Vision and Image Understanding 2012 Most Cited Paper Award", “International Conference on Pattern Recognition Applications and Methods (ICPRAM) 2016 Best Paper Award” and was nominated for “ICPRAM 2017 Best Stduent Paper Award” and "Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing 2006 Nightingale Prize". Four of his papers recently published by Elsevier were ranked as the ScienceDirect Top 25 Articles. Dr. Zhou currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Recent Advances in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Associate Editor of "IEEE Transaction on Human-Machine Systems", and is on the Editorial Boards of five refereed journals. He is one of the Technical Committee of “Information Assurance & Intelligent Multimedia-Mobile Communication in IEEE SMC Society”, “Robotics Task Force” and “Biometrics Task Force” of the Intelligent Systems Applications Technical Committee, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society. He serves or has served as a technical program committee for 300 conferences in signal and image processing and a reviewer for 100 refereed journals including over 20 IEEE Transactions/Journals. He has given over 50 invited talks at international conferences, industry and universities, and has served as a chair for 30 international conferences and workshops.
